Stockbury Dog Club Christmas Dinner 2005

This years dinner was held on Saturday the 10th of December at Stockbury village hall and was enjoyed by about sixty members and guests.
The format was similar to last year except the attractively decorated tables were positioned away from the stage to allow for a dance area.
Once again thanks must go to Brenda and her team of helpers for putting on a really good evening. After the meal balloons were in the air, Janet was proberly involved in starting this if last year was anything to go by. Jo also demonstrated an explosive touch with the balloons.

The evenings entertainment was mainly by Phil and Gary with Becky joining in for a couple of songs. Apart from keeping things moving with a range of music and songs they also helped with drawing the raffle.
What a raffle! The monster raffle which seems to get bigger every year was again organised by Carole.
This year there was also a prize for the winning number dinner ticket, the number was drawn by Julie who made the great looking tickets.

It was good to see the dinner so well supported and to see everybody relaxing and having a good time.

This was the last social event of the year for the club and concludes what has been a suceesful year with a number of social events arranged, as well as walks, obedience demostrations and good attendance at the training sessions. This has enabled us to support a number of local charities and enjoy working with our dogs.

We now look forward to 2006 and wish all of you and all dogs a Healthy and Happy New Year.
