Stockbury Dog Club Christmas Dinner 2007
Saturday 8th December 2007 at Stockbury Village Hall

It was Christmas Dinner time again on Saturday evening as fifty six members and guests, same number as last year, sat down to eat at 8:00pm.
The evening started with a welcome from our chairman Mike Cottell who also pointed out a giant Christmas card which Brenda had brought along. The idea was for people during the evening to write a Christmas greeting in the card and make a donation to Demelza House children's hospice, this raised a very pleasing £80. Thank you to all those who donated so generously to what is a very worthy cause.
The meal was then served by our normal caterers H & J Boulton catering services  from Sheerness. Starting with soup followed by a roast turkey main course then Christmas pudding with white sauce finishing on mince pies, satsumas, mints, cheese board and coffee or tea. An enjoyable meal, again well prepared and served efficiently by Harry and his team. It was great to look around at the tables seeing everybody chatting away and having a good time helped along by Phil with his music.

See bottom of page for video clip details.

We then had a break for the raffle with Phil calling out the numbers as they were drawn. After the lucky winners had collected their prizes Phil continued with his excellent entertainment.
Some dancers emerged on to the floor while others busied themselves making a dog from a cork or took on a particularly 'glazed' look!

A big thank you to those that organised the event and to all of you for coming.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dial up users can down load a lower still resolution version but it is still about 4mb with an estimate of about 24 mins to download on a 56k modem.
